Eddie Murphy’s granddaughter, Evie, is on her way to becoming a musical genius. The youngster recently played the piano alongside her granddad in a session that was beyond precious.
Evie hit a few keys on the piano before deciding to end the session. The little one started playing again at the insistence of her grandfather to “play some more.” Eddie Murphy used his skills to make the random keys Evie touched into a melody.
“I love how papa adjusts and compliments her melody,” one fan said after seeing the short clip of Evie playing the piano with her grandfather shared by the little one’s mom, Carly Olivia. “So sweet,” the supporter added. Another of Carly Olivia’s Instagram followers wrote, “Awesome and adorable. Why didn’t I remember [Eddie Murphy] could play the piano? Nice.”
Eddie Murphy is a man of many talents. Not only is the entertainment mogul a comedian but he also writes and produces films. Some may even remember when Eddie Murphy released an album in 1982 that was registered as certified gold. The celebrity father released another single in 1985 called ‘Party All The Time,’ which remains a classic for many.
“I’m always, always writing a song,” Murphy said during a recent interview with Parade. “I don’t want to say it’s a passion—I don’t want to sound pretentious or artsy because it’s not,” Eddie explained. “It’s just every now and then a song will pop out of the ether.”
Eddie Murphy went on to share the driving force behind his creativity that crosses several industries. “Positivity, creativity, forward motion,” the entertainment mogul. “Those three things pretty much cover everything,” Murphy shared with Parade. “Whenever things get crazy, if you go back to that, you get grounded.”
Evie is Eddie Murphy’s only grandchild. The celebrity has ten kids in all.
