Eve is ready to share more about her journey to pregnancy. The rapper, who announced her expectancy last week, stopped by The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (Oct. 19) to talk about her doctor who went to great lengths to help Eve and her husband, Maximillion Cooper, conceive.
“People say it takes a village to raise kids. It takes a village, sometimes, to help you get pregnant,” Eve shared on the morning show. “I had 14 fibroids that I didn’t even know about,” the rapper revealed. “So I had to get a myomectomy, which is a procedure to get the fibroids out,” she added.
“[My doctor] was the only doctor who went that deep and got me an MRI. She was like, ‘You can try, and try, and try. You’re never going to get pregnant until you get rid of these things.’ No other doctor told me this. She helped me get pregnant.”
The lockdowns caused by the coronavirus pandemic also contributed to Eve’s conception. “Staying home also made me get into [the mindset of], ‘Alright, I need to get on my uterine health,'” the rapper shared. “As women, that’s just something we should do.”
