"The New Addition To Our Family Is Here"

Congratulations to Jimmie Allen and his wife, Alexis, who welcomed their baby girl, Zara James Allen, on Saturday (Oct. 16). The country music recording artist took to Instagram to announce the arrival of his daughter this past weekend.

“The new addition to our family is here and we couldn’t be happier to finally meet her,” Jimmie told his social media fans. “Alexis, you’re a champion,” the recording artist wrote to his wife. “I love you and [am] so thankful for you.”

Jimmie and Alexis shared the news of their expectancy earlier this year. The announcement came months after the celebrity couple welcomed their oldest daughter, Naomi.

“Naomi’s finally sleeping in a little bed now, she’s not in a crib anymore, so we’ve got that crib ready for the baby,” Jimmie said of his growing family during an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight (ET) earlier this year. “I’m just starting to become a pro at this whole parenting thing,” the country music singer added.

Jimmie shared his desire to name his then-unborn daughter Arya Stark Allen with ET. The celebrity father admitted the inspiration behind the unique name choice was the Game Of Thrones.

“I will just let that be her nickname,” Jimmie conceded during the conversation. “I will just keep tweeting and posting about it, that way people will just accept it like that is her nickname even though on paper she is something else,” the celebrity father added. “I got a nickname,” Allen revealed. “Jimmie is a nickname.”

Alexis and Jimmie Allen celebrated their oldest daughter’s birthday in March. Jimmie also has a son named Aadyn from a previous relationship whom he credits as the driving force behind his success as a recording artist.

“I was broke when I had my son,” Jimmie Allen admitted during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE last year. “I was working three jobs — I was a server, a janitor at an elementary school and I was collecting trash for waste management,” the celebrity father explained. “The crazy thing is after I had my son, that next year, I got a publishing deal. The next year, I got a record deal,” Allen shared.

Aadyn celebrated his seventh birthday earlier this year.
