“They is (sic) insane man,” LeBron James wrote online. “17!! 17,” the celebrity father exclaimed. “What In the h*ll is going on. How are you 17?? My baby boy,” James wrote online. “Proud of you Young 🤴🏾,” the celebrity father wrote online. “Watching you grow into the young man you are today makes me so happy and proud! Love you kid! Keep going up above and beyond! I’m right here guiding and watching!”

Savannah James also took to Instagram to celebrate her son’s seventeenth birthday. “I can’t believe you are 17,” the celebrity mom wrote to her oldest child. “But I’m so happy that you are growing into the amazing young man you are,” Savannah told Bronny. “You make me so happy, I’m so proud of you and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! I love you beyond words!”

Bronny James is steadily following in his father’s footsteps. Not only has the teen scored his first Sports Illustrated (SI) cover like his dad, but Bronny has also caught the eye of basketball scouts. “Bronny has been a positive surprise,” one scout shared with the press. “He’s shown me he’s more than a last name,” the sports professional added. “He can make shots and handle the ball. He’s very even-keeled for someone who’s under the microscope.”

LeBron and Savannah James seek to instill the value of hard work in all of their kids. Bronny brings a dedication to the basketball court every time he competes that is progressively giving him an athletic identity independent of his father’s legacy.

“That’s why he’s LeBron James Jr. and not LeBron James,” Bronny’s former coach, Danyelle Love, recently shared with media. “He’s his own person and Bronny is going to make a name for himself, and I hope people recognize that,” Love continued.

“Bron set a path for Bronny, and it’s up to Bronny to go and finish that path for himself. I believe that he can do it.”
