Gucci Mane is a doting dad! The ‘Wake Up In The Sky’ rapper is receiving praise after recent footage of him showed the celebrity father enjoying time with his youngest son, Ice Davis, in a playpen.
In the video clip, Gucci Mane tries to give his son the phone. “Who do you want to talk to,” Gucci asked while pretending to hold a conversation with someone on the other end of the phone. “Who is this calling for you,” the celebrity asks his son in the footage. “She’s talking about she wants Ice,” Gucci continued. Ice Davis is more concerned with the sights around him than the conversation his dad has created.
“Bruh, seeing Gucci in a dang playpen is the content I didn’t know I needed,” one fan wrote in response to seeing the rapper spending quality time with his son. “Beautiful to watch his journey over these years,” the supporter said. “This video made my day,” another social media follower wrote in response to the video. “To see Gucci in such a vulnerable and happy space with his family is heartwarming.”
Gucci Mane is the father of two kids. The rapper recently explained why the birth of his youngest son made him feel as if he were a father for the first time.
“Me and the mother [of my older son] were kind of like strangers,” Gucci said of his estranged relationship with his oldest son’s mother. Gucci was not able to spend as much time with his oldest, Keitheon, during the early years, which ultimately led to the rapper missing out on the full experience of rearing a baby.
“I never knew how much attention you got to pay to a baby,” Gucci Mane shared with Billboard. “It’s not easy,” the celebrity father admitted. “It’s a great thing and I love it, but it’s definitely challenging to be a parent,” Gucci revealed.
Ice Davis celebrates his first birthday in December. He is the youngest of five children Gucci Mane and his wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, have between the two of them.
