Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert celebrated their daughter Rue Rose’s first birthday this past weekend. Rue was given a birthday party that included lots of gifts.

The little one was the center of attention as Teyana and Iman gave their daughter a cake and extra attention during the “Birthday Song” segment. The celebrity couple made certain to pause the festivities so all guests could sing to the birthday girl.
“Rue Rose turns 1,” Teyana Taylor exclaimed online. “Happy birthday to my youngest,” Iman Shumpert wrote. “Keep seeing the world with a pure heart,” the star athlete wrote to his daughter. “Leave it to us as your parents to make sure things are magical,” he added. “Continue to let your smile be contagious as you show us all how to love,” Iman wrote to his youngest daughter. “We love you, Rue-Rose. Happy birthday.”
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert welcomed Rue Rose on September 6, 2020. The little one made the Shumperts parents for the second time.
“At 3:28 am on Sept 6th, 2020 Rue Rose 🌹 decided that the baby shower thrown for her and mommy was too lit,” Iman told his social media fans. “She didn’t make the party but she managed to make the next day her birthdate,” the celebrity father said when announcing his youngest daughter’s arrival.
“Now … when we buy homes, we always find a bathroom with great energy,” Iman said in reference to Teyana giving birth to their oldest child, Iman Tayla, in the bathroom of the family’s home in 2015. “Not in a million years would you be able to tell me we’d deliver both of our daughters in a bathroom without the assistance of a hospital,” the celebrity father exclaimed.
“Our newest edition entered the world in the water and came out looking around and ready to explore,” Iman said of Rue Rose. “A healthy child. A little sister. Another daughter. Black love wins … again. Welcome baby girl. We love you!”
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert gave their youngest daughter a beautiful first birthday with the help of American Dream, Make It Happen Events, and a host of other venues that worked together to make Rue Tose’s special day magical. “Everyone had an absolute blast,” Teyana told her social media fans.
