Salli Richardson and Dondre Whitfield’s daughter, Parker, is 17-years-old! The teen’s parents took to Instagram earlier this week to commemorate her special day as well as Parker’s latest accomplishment of getting her driver’s license.
“And just like that my beautiful baby is 17 and has her driver’s license,” Salli Richardson said of Parker’s growth and development. “God couldn’t have graced me with a better daughter,” the celebrity mom said.
Dondre Whitfield also took to social media to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. “Today is my baby’s birthday,” the celebrity father shared on Thursday (September 2). “Seventeen years old … holy cow I can’t take it,” Whitfield said. “Driving, dating, and growing up. Beyond comprehension,” the celebrity father wrote online. “Happy birthday baby girl. You are becoming an awesome young woman. Daddy loves you more than you could ever know.”
It is hard to believe Parker is 17-years-old. Some feel as if Salli Richardson and Dondre Whitfield are still newlyweds. In reality, though, the celebrity couple has been married for 18 years. Both Salli and Dondre shared their opinions about love and relationships during a recent episode of Black Love.
“Literally, when we first got together, we spent five days straight–like, I didn’t go home,” Dondre shared. “It was the first time in my life that I didn’t try anything,” the actor revealed. “There was something about her that I just felt that connection,” Whitfield added. “That was 22 years ago.”
Salli Richardson also felt the connection over two decades ago. The director further delved into the work it has taken to build a healthy relationship.
“We had our ups and downs and breakups to figure out, how we work this out, especially in Hollywood and both being in the business and different types of pressures,” Richardson shared. “But listening to you, I feel like once you got married, you don’t know still,” the celebrity revealed. “You don’t know what you’re signing up for. And I truly believe that now, in our marriage, I don’t know if I knew then, but I know now.”
Dondre Whitfield and Salli Richardson have two kids, Parker and Dre, together. Dre celebrated his twelfth birthday earlier this year.
