TEYANA TAYLOR SAYS NOT BEING ABLE TO HOLD HER KIDS AFTER BREAST LUMP SURGERY WAS ‘TOUGH’

"Definitely Overwhelmed"

Fans saw an emotional Teyana Taylor during a recent episode of the recording artist’s reality show, We Got Love: Teyana and Iman. Teyana discovered several lumps on her breasts that needed to be removed via surgery. The operation ultimately restricted Teyana from holding her children for a period.

“It was a lot of lumps, which is really bad,” Teyana told We Got Love viewers. The episode went on to share Taylor’s battle with Chloestasis, which is a liver condition that significantly increases a woman’s risk of complications during pregnancy.

“I had a lot of issues with producing milk,” Teyana shared. “When it finally came, literally everything hardened up,” the celebrity mom noted.

Taylor’s assistant and family friends agreed that the lumps were probably the result of the singer’s struggle to produce breastmilk. Still, Teyana took the necessary precaution of seeking professional help from a doctor. The physician informed the singer she would need surgery to correct the issue. He also informed Teyana that she would not be able to hold her children for a weeks following the surgery.

“It’s tough,” Taylor admitted during the episode. “I’m definitely overwhelmed because I miss my kids so much,” she added when reflecting on how the situation temporarily separated her from her family. Teyana told her husband, Iman Shumpert, to take their kids to Chicago to stay with family members while she battled with medical complications. “I miss Iman so much,” Taylor said during the episode. “I think that’s probably the longest I’ve been away from them,” the singer revealed.

Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor welcomed their youngest child, Rue Rose Shumpert, last year. The little one joined the Shumperts’ oldest daughter, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., at home. Rue Rose celebrates her first birthday next month. Iman Tayla turns 6-years-old in December. Teyana Taylor delivered both of her children from the comforts of home via au naturale birh.
