Tisha Campbell’s son, Xen Martin, is 20-years-old! The celebrity mom commemorated her son’s special day on Sunday (August 8) with a beautiful Instagram post.
“From the moment I looked into your eyes I knew I was in love,” Tisha wrote to Xen. “The greatest gift I thought I could give to you was independence but you added confidence, tenacity, intelligence, and kindness all on your own despite any challenges,” the celebrity mom said.
“I couldn’t raise a boy to a man on my own,” Campbell explained. “If it wasn’t something I could give or teach you, YOU sought out positive role models to help guide you into manhood,” the veteran actress wrote to her son. “Your immense desire to be a STRONG DEPENDABLE man and to take care of me, your little brother, and to be a considerate, loving, and trustworthy person to your girlfriend makes me PROUD! YOU just make me PROUD. Happy birthday my love.”
It was just last year that Xen, who lives with autism, graduated from high school. The young adult beat all the odds by also receiving an acceptance letter to attend Moorpark College where he expressed a desire to study Zoology.
“I’m the proudest mommy,” Tisha told her social media fans at the time. “He didn’t wait for anyone to help him,” the celebrity mom said of her son’s determination when applying for acceptance to college. “He didn’t wait for us to help him and when someone said he’d never get in — He applied anyway,” Tisha revealed. “It’s so apropos because that’s how he has lived his life regardless of the odds,” the celebrity mom said.
Xen’s initial desire to attend Moorpark College began when he was 8-years-old, according to Tisha Campbell. Xen is one of two sons Tisha has with her ex-husband, Duane Martin.
