“What are you crying about,” Angela asked a visibly upset Sutton. “You have the best Yeezy Slides,” the little one told his mom in reference to Angela’s shoes. “We can ask Papa to get you some Yeezy slides from Addidas,” Simmons told her son. “Do you want them,” the celebrity mom asked. “Yes,” Sutton replied before getting up to follow his mom’s lead.

“Yooo, my son needs Orange Yeezy Slides,” Angela told her social media fans. “He’s crying because I have the Orange Slides and he doesn’t,” the celebrity mom explained. “Someone help me,” Angela jokingly asked. “I told him we could call his Papa @revwon! I can’t!” Rev Run responded to Angela’s Instagram post by saying, “What color does he want? LOL. I got you.”

Addidas and Kanye West released Orange Slides last month. The new style served as a larger endeavor to restock Yeezy Slides every few months, which ultimately makes them more affordable. The aftermarket value of previous styles may still retail for as much as $350. New Yeezy shoes retail for about $60.

Kanye West’s style and business savvy fit well with the Addidas overarching business model. The rapper shared his reason for leaving NIKE a few years back.

“I loved Nike,” Kanye shared with the press. “When I was young, I used to sketch the Swoosh, everything,” the celebrity added. “It was heartbreaking for me to have to leave Nike, but they refused to allow me to get royalties on my shoe,” West explained.

“And I knew I had the hottest shoe in the world,” the rapper continued. “I knew Yeezy was the hottest brand in the world. But I couldn’t get royalties. They just said, ‘Look, you can just make 5,000 shoes or 10,000 shoes, and we’ll give some of the proceeds to your favorite charity.’ But it was nothing to build.”

“Now we’re building factories. They wouldn’t let me build anything. And just put out more amazing ideas to the world. My friend expressed to me that he received a royalty, because he’s a store, and I’m Yeezy? That was the final straw.”
