Danielle Herrington had no idea she was pregnant during her latest Sports Illustrated (SI) cover. The model shares her story with PEOPLE (the TV Show!).
“I was honestly in shock. It was like pure shock and a little terrified. I had no idea,” Herrington says.
Danielle shared her expectancy of a child with her Instagram fans last month. “Baby boy coming soon,” the model told her fans on June 1, 2021. Herrington also uploaded two pictures that showed off her baby bump. “We are so thrilled for you,” Sports Illustrated Swimsuit,” shared in response to the news of Danielle’s pregnancy. “Congrats,” fashion model Brooks Nader wrote.
Herrington experienced “terrible” morning sickness at the beginning of her pregnancy. Now, the model is more settled and in preparation mode for her little one.
“I’m a few days away from being 8 months pregnant, so now I’m just a little tired,” Danielle tells PEOPLE (the TV Show!). “I’m always just getting tired, anything I do,” the model reveals. “If I wash the dishes and make breakfast, I’m like, ‘Okay, I need a nap.’ That’s how it is now, but otherwise, I’m good.”
Just how are Danielle Herrington and her boyfriend, Geron McKinley, preparing for their baby boy? “Right now I’m just resting up,” the model shares. “I’ve been, like I said, so tired,” she adds. “We have a baby shower in two weeks, so I have my friends and everyone helping me with that. But we have everything: we have the bassinet, we have clothes, we have literally almost everything. Honestly, we’re just literally waiting for baby to arrive.”
Danielle Herrington’s stunning Sports Illustrated Swimuit cover is the second time the model modeled for the issue’s Swim edition. Her first cover was in 2018. Danielle and Geron’s son will arrive just in time for the fall season.
