Sy’rai Smith is bringing all of her fierceness in front of the camera’s lens. Brandy’s 19-year-old daughter recently gave all of the right poses during a photoshoot.
“Sweet Sy’rai,” Brandy wrote to her daughter. “I like your hair Boop,” the celebrity mom doted. “Wow,” Brandy continued. “This is 19,” she added. “Please go back to being my baby.”
Sy’rai is following in her mother’s footsteps as a recording artist. The youngster has released several covers on YouTube and is steadily gaining a following among fans who loved her mom’s music.
Brandy recently spoke with the press about how her daughter has served as her inspiration to create smash-hit tracks down through the years.
“I was a little bit lost eight years ago musically, creatively, spiritually,” Brandy revealed. “I had to pull myself together, I had to pull it all together and make it all make sense,” the celebrity mom shared. “I remember laying in bed super depressed.” Brandy revealed. “I [told] myself, ‘So, you’re just going to go out like this? That’s wack. You have a daughter. If you can’t do it for yourself, do it for her because this is not the way to leave a mark in her life.'”
Sy’rai continues to view her mom as an example to follow in the music industry and in life. Brandy, meanwhile, remains grateful for her daughter’s presence in her life.
“If Sy’rai wasn’t here, I wouldn’t be either,” the celebrity mom shared during a recent interview. “The place that I was in, it just felt like I wasn’t going to make it through,” Brandy added.
