Just in case you’ve missed it, and are not to sure what here’s a synopsis of the show.
Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps), the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family — wife Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins, Journey Christine) and firstborn son (Jermelle Simon), the teenage son (Diamond Lyons) he fathered with another woman (Gabrielle Dennis) — and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes), all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together.
One of our favorite BCKOnline faces, Journey Christine stars in the show alongside Epps, Fields, Sykes, and others.

According to her official website, rapper, model, actress Journey Christine began her acting career at the age of 13-months-old, booking her first national commercial for Kohl’s department store. She continued to wow casting directors and booked several other commercials afterwards. Television audiences have seen her beautiful face prominently featured in commercials for Honda, Walmart, Kohl’s, Home Depot and a handful of other top companies.
In 2019, Journey Christine walked the runway in 3 fashion shows, including Los Angeles Spring Summer Fashion Week. This truly multi-talented young rising star also has a passion for performing arts, dance and music. So just what does Journey Christine do when she’s not working? Well, the seven-year-old enjoys swimming, traveling, and playing football with her brothers.
