Fast 9 premiere,” Shad exclaimed online. “Yo, @_shaimoss, daddy gone (sic) show you how to do this so when it’s your turn, dad can kick his feet up,” Bow Wow wrote to his daughter.

Shai Moss may become the main star on the red carpet sooner rather than later. It was just a few weeks ago that the youngster made her acting debut on Nickelodeon’s Side Hustle.

“I’m so proud of you,” Bow Wow wrote to his daughter shortly after the news of Shai’s acting gig went public. “I love you so much,” Shad added. “And you are doing this all on your own because you want to! Let’s go baby girl,” Shai’s mom, Joie Chavis, wrote, “My Baby.”

Fans were shocked to learn of Bow Wow’s return to the big screen in F9: The Fast Saga. Some criticized Universal’s decision to implement the rapper’s character, Twinkie, in the latest installment of the FURIOUS franchise. Still, others were welcoming of the character who brought a different vibe to The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006).

“I remember Lucas and Jason and Bow talking to Sung about a conversation they had when we were shooting Tokyo Drift and it was just a continuation of it, and that kind of connection was great,” F9 director Justin Lin shared during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW) when discussing Twinkie’s return.

“Because a lot of times you might not see the characters for 10, 15 years, but they’re living in this universe, so to be able to catch up with them was very meaningful — much more than I even thought when we were writing it,” Lin explained.

F9: The Fast Saga comes to theaters on Friday, June 25, 2021.
