"Our Pregnancy Journey"

Congratulations to Kyrie Irving and fiancee Marlene Wilkerson on the arrival of their baby. Marlene shared the news of their first child’s birth with her YouTube fans on Monday (June 14).

Wilkerson uploaded a video titled “Our Pregnancy Journey” that highlighted certain parts of her journey. The video comes to a conclusion with Marlene giving birth. “This is beautiful,” one YouTuber wrote in response to seeing the 11-minute video. “Congratulations, queen,” the fan shared. Another of Marlene’s supporters wrote, “This is the most peaceful and beautiful pregnancy-to-birth story ever.”

Kyrie Irving and Marlene Wilkerson became engaged for marriage in 2019. The celebrity couple has been rather silent about their personal affairs ever since, though the news of Marlene’s pregnancy went public.

Marlene and Kyrie enjoyed an at-home birth in which she delivered their child in the bathtub of their home. He was right by her side through the experience. Irving and Wilkerson also shared moments leading up to the birth of their child that dispelled rumors of their breakup. Some believed Kyrie and Marlene’s relationship was on the rocks after they reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram last year. Marlene’s pregnancy journey video, however, shows her and Kyrie together during various parts of the expectancy journey.

Dozens of fans found Marlene and Kyrie’s pregnancy journey to be encouraging. “I have been trying for a year and a half and the doctors told me it’s a one in a million chance of conceiving,” one YouTube supporter revealed in the comments section of Marlene’s YouTube post. “[I] found out I am 6 weeks yesterday,” the social media follower shared. “It’s so early and I am so scared,” the YouTube supporter admitted. “Awesome content.”

Marlene Wilkerson’s decision to give birth at home was a dedication to indigenous women. The new mom gave thanks to her midwife, Racha Tahani of Crimson Fig Midwifery, and doctor, Dr. Sura of Nalu Chiropractice, who helped with her labor and delivery experience. The YouTuber also expressed gratitude to family and friends “for blessing us through this journey.”
