Ciara is back to her pre-baby weight. The ‘Level Up’ singer shared her accomplishment with her Instagram fans earlier this week.
“Goodbye to those last 10lbs I’ve been working on these past five weeks,” Ciara wrote online. “Hello to me-pre baby weight,” CiCi exclaimed. “I’m so proud of myself– down 39 pounds on my @ww journey! The @ww app really made the process easy and fun! Thank you to everyone for your support, we did it!”
Ciara joined the Weight Watchers (WW) family as an ambassador after giving birth to her youngest son, Win Wilson. “I’ve always appreciated being in shape,” Ciara said in a statement shared on the Weight Watchers website. “I’m ready to get back at it and lose the baby weight,” the recording artist said. “But I’m also very aware that my life is more eventful with three kids, so a restrictive lifestyle doesn’t work for me anymore.”
Weight Watchers works by providing a system of nutrition geared towards weight loss. Calories are expressed via points, which are determined according to a number of factors that include a person’s exercise routine as well as starting weight.
“I used to be an extremist when it came to losing weight,” Ciara shared on the Weight Watchers website. “WW gave me a creative way to build a healthier lifestyle,” the celebrity added. ” I want to set a positive example for family, and to me that’s eating what I love while making healthier choices.”
Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson, are the proud parents of two kids. The celebrity parents welcomed their son on July 23, 2020, which was in the middle of the pandemic’s height.
“That experience was obviously very memorable,” Ciara said during a recent interview with Buzzfeed. “It’s always memorable when you give birth, but there were many things that I never experienced before — whether it was going to my first ultrasound without Russ, without my husband, that was very unique,” the celebrity added.
“Seeing the same four walls every day made my pregnancy seem much longer than the norm,” Ciara said of the lockdowns that prevented her from running errands during her pregnancy. “Also, giving birth with the mask on my face was like, ‘What the heck?’ It was so surreal that was happening in that moment.”
“I guess the cool thing about the pandemic — having had different challenges thrown my way — was [learning] I’m good for all of this,” the celebrity mom shared. “I’m built for anything thrown my way.”
Win and his younger sister, Sienna, are Ciara’s biological children with Russell Wilson. The celebrity mom also has an older son named Future Zahir with rapper Future.
