Introducing Essex William Wright, the son of Taina Williams and G Herbo. On Friday, Taina took to her Instagram to share the first photo of her son. In her caption, the new mom revealed that her baby boy was born on May 27, 2021 at 12:23am. He weighed in at 6lbs 12oz.
The model also added the hashtag #myrainbowbaby, indicating that she had miscarried a baby prior to the birth of Essex. As for the little one’s name, it is a rarely-used place name of English origin. According to Nameberry, “Essex was the ancient kingdom of the East Saxons and is now a county in England.”
Rapper G Herbo and Taina Williams first announced they were expecting on New Year’s Day. The couple took to their respective Instagram pages to share photos and a video from a pregnancy shoot, with Herbo writing, “Gotta be 1 of God’s favorite cuz my life just keep getting better!! As long as my lessons bring more blessings I’m str8 4 ever. Happy New Year!”
Taina, who is the daughter of Emily B and rapper Fabolous, also shared a message under a video from the shoot. She wrote, “Sometimes the greatest things in life are worth hiding for a bigger sacrifice. Happiness is an understatement for the joy that we feel and the light that you’ve already [brought] upon us. God knows I prayed for you ….”
Adding, “The journey is never easy but the story is always amazing to tell .. this feeling is indescribable.. you were made with so much love no one else will ever know the strength of my love for you already.. 2020 was hard but you gave me hope for 2021. We love you & cannot wait to meet you my sweet baby. Happy new year.”
