Lauren London celebrated Mother’s Day with her sons with Lil Wayne and Nipsey Hussle. The actress shared a sweet photo of herself with her kids, Kameron and Kross, on Sunday (May 9).
“Happy Mother’s Day,” Lauren wrote in the picture’s caption. “To yours, mine, ours,” the actress shared. The candid London uploaded featured her in the middle and her sons on both sides of her. Everyone in the picture gave the camera a smile, which melted the hearts of Lauren’s fans.
“Happy Mother’s queen Boog,” one fan wrote in response to the social media post. “Many blessings to you and yours,” the supporter said. Another of Lauren London’s Instagram followers wrote, “I love this pic.”
Kameron is London’s son with rapper Lil Wayne. The actress’s youngest son, Kross, is her little one with the late Nipsey Hussle. Nipsey, real name Ermias Asghedom, was murdered outside his clothing store, Marathon Clothing, in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 31, 2019. The rapper left behind a daughter, Emani, from a previous relationship and his son with Lauren London.
It has taken Lauren time to process and settle into life without Nipsey Hussle. The actress, however, has moved forward while working, according to a recent interview London gave Entertainment Tonight. The celebrity revealed her decision to take on a role in Michael B. Jordan’s Without Remorse just months after Nipsey’s tragic passing in 2019.
“We shot it in 2019 I believe,” Lauren said during her interview with ET. “Michael reached out to me as a friend and he was so unsure if I was even going to ever work again,” London revealed. “And he was like, ‘Look, I’m unsure if this is what you want to do, but I have to follow my intuition, I have to ask you if can you just read the script.'”
A significant part of the motivation behind Lauren’s decision to accept the role revolved around her children. “We can’t stop,” the actress shared with ET. “We do have a purpose, all of us,” London added. “It’s important for my sons to see me moving forward with grief, not just curling up in a ball because I curled up in a ball for a long time.”
