‘Little Mix’ singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock is pregnant! The English singer and songwriter shared the exciting news of her expectancy with her Instagram fans on Tuesday (May 4).
“We’ve dreamed about this moment for so long and we can’t believe the dream is finally coming true,” Pinnock shared along with candids that featured her with her partner, Andre Gray. “we can’t wait to meet you,” the recording artist wrote to her unborn child.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock is best known for her role as a member of the British girl group ‘Little Mix.’ The singing group formed in 2011 during Season 8 of the British version of the X Factor. Little Mix began with four singers but became a trio last year as band member Jesy Nelson parted ways to explore other opportunities in entertainment.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock has also explored life as a solo artist. The singer hired a PR agency last year to oversee her endeavor to build a brand apart from Little Mix.
“It makes sense that now that we’re a lot more grown-up, a lot more educated, that we all individually have things we stand for,” Leigh-Anne said during a recent interview. “I’m just excited to let people see Leigh-Anne and not just the girl from Little Mix,” the celebrity added.
Activism has been at the forefront of Pinnock’s affairs these past few months. The singer has, particularly, focused on bigotry in the music industry that shuts out Black artists with darker skin tones.
“There’s only so much you can take of feeling like you are the invisible one, or you’re being overlooked,” Leigh-Anne said during a recent interview. “There had to come a point where I see this as my power and I now do,” the singer declared. “Being Black is my power. And I want young Black girls around the world to see that.”
Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Adre Gray are expecting their little one to arrive in the coming weeks.
