Ne-Yo and wife Crystal Smith are expecting a baby girl! Crystal took to Instagram to share the news and a sweet message that she wrote to her unborn daughter.

“Dearest Daughter,” she began. “I have prayed for you (my mini) for many years but God knew I needed a little practice before you blessed us with your love. Practice to be soft mixed with slightly rough edges. Practice to be calm in the midst of all storms. Practice in walking with grace in cruel circumstances. Practice in learning to love myself fully and whole so that I can be the example for you.”

Adding, “Truth be told I needed to grow up a lot before I could raise what I know will become an amazing woman one day. Filled with Strength, dignity and elegance. Carrying you these past 6 months has changed me in so many ways. I will be better because of you and for you! Princess Smith you are already loved so very much and your daddy and I are dying to see your beautiful face. Love,Mommy. I finally got my girl”

The post comes after the mom-to-be experienced a scare with her pregnancy this past weekend. The reality star took to her Instagram on Monday after being rushed to the emergency room for an undisclosed condition to ask for prayers for her unborn child.

“I will be strong for the both of us cause heaven is just going to have to wait for you. I’m not ready and I won’t be for many years to come. If I could split my heart in half to share with you then it would be done already. Mommy loves you and has enough faith to move mountains. My angel on earth. Stay baking in Gods oven because it’s not time just yet. Simply Asking for my prayer warriors right now.”

Ne-Yo and Crystal are already proud parents to Roman Alexander-Raj, 2, and 6-year-old Shaffer Chimere Jr. Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Chimere Smith, also has Mason Evan, 9, and Madilyn Grace, 10, from a previous relationship.
