Chrissy Teigen and her kids are on the cover of PEOPLE magazine. The celebrity mom headlined the publication’s ‘Beautiful Issue.’
“I’m an open, free spirit and I love kids to be kids,” Chrissy tells PEOPLE. “For us, kindness is such a big thing. When you meet our kids, they’re very warm and friendly,” the celebrity mom shares. “You instill those things in them, but for the most part, let them be creative and wondrous and spirited and curious beings.”
Chrissy Teigen has two kids, Luna and Miles, with her husband, John Legend. “I always knew I wanted to be a mom and a wife,” the celebrity mom says. “But work-wise I never knew exactly where I fit in or what I could do,” Teigen admits. “I’m very proud for bringing together all these talented people, and the amount of love and feedback [we’ve gotten] with Cravings makes me so happy.”
Chrissy Teigen released Cravings in 2016. The cookbook was such a hit that the celebrity published a second book, Cravings: Hungry For More, two years later. Support for the second installment of the Cravings was just as strong as for the first book.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen experienced the highs and lows of life in a very real way this past year. The celebrity couple endured the loss of their unborn child last September. Jack passed away due to complications related to a partial placenta abruption. Chrissy initially went to the hospital because of the abnormal bleeding caused by the condition.
“I’ve learned how strong physically and mentally a body can be,” Teigen tells PEOPLE. “I’ve learned how strong I am,” she adds. “This year has been a roller coaster for everybody in the world, including our little family.”
Chrissy further explains, “Seeing people rally around us has been really beautiful. There have been things in the past year that I never thought John would have to see, but it’s also been so wonderful that we have prevailed and still see each other with so much more love than we could have ever, ever imagined ever in our lives,” the celebrity continues. “Whatever love we put out into the world 10 years ago, we’re getting it back tenfold. I feel every piece of love from everybody around the world.”
