Christina Milian has a good reason for blurring her son Isaiah’s picture in family candids shared online. The celebrity mom, who is expecting her second child with her boyfriend Matt Pokora, recently shared the motivation behind her decision with Really, Truly, Maybe With Christina Milian fans.
“We haven’t shown Isaiah’s face,” Christina admitted. “It was kind of a choice that was made that I kind of wasn’t expecting. To be honest with you, I did want to be able to share immediately. These are my children. I’m so proud to be their parent. But Isaiah’s dad brought up a very valid point, and I’m actually happy we’ve stuck to it.”
The main reason for Matt and Christina deciding to hide their son’s face in pictures shared online was because of safety. “When Violet was little, there were times I kind of wished people wouldn’t have necessarily known what Violet looked like,” Milian shared. “If I was not with Violet and let’s just say she was with the nanny or something, you just never know what people’s reactions are,” the celebrity mom added. “I did have times when I even felt personally uncomfortable because they felt they knew Violet so much. [Some fans] would touch or wanted to take pictures with my baby.”
Fans on Instagram have wondered about Christina Milian’s motivation to blur her son’s face. Some originally thought the celebrity mom was shielding her son’s physical appearance because he was a newborn. Questions and criticism began to increase, however, as Isaiah grew while his mom continued to blur his face in family photos shared online.
A few of Milian’s devout fans knew her son’s father was French and, therefore, understood the social rules regarding the children of celebrities to be different from the norms in the United States. Such individuals defended Christina and Matt from trolls who attempted to bully the celebrity parents into sharing non-blurred candids of their son.
Matt Pokora and Christina Milian are expecting their second child to arrive in the coming weeks. Christina already has a daughter named Violet with her ex-husband, The-Dream.
