Keyshia Cole gave Instagram fans quite the surprise a few days ago. The celebrity mom held a Live Q&A session on her son DJ’s Instagram page.

Keyshia told her supporters how she has been able to spend more time with her sons, DJ and Tobias, these past few months. The celebrity mom also gave insight into DJ’s fitness journey, which includes a personal trainer.

“He getting right,” Cole shared. “It’s all about the confidence,” the celebrity mom continued. “That is why we’re getting him right.”

Keyshia also talked about her younger son, Tobias, who was spending time with his paternal side of the family. “The baby is with his grandparents and his dad,” Cole said in response to a supporter asking for Tobias’ whereabouts. “He will be back tomorrow,” the celebrity mom assured. “We switch off every week.”

One Instagram Live viewer asked if DJ spent time with his father, Daniel Gibson Sr. Keyshia responded by saying, “Of course DJ spends time with his dad also. Silly.”

Keyshia Cole announced her plans to retire earlier this week. The recording artist told her supporters that she wanted to step away from the music industry to spend more time with her kids. Cole assured her fans that she would release her upcoming project, Album 8. The celebrity mom also said she would still perform her greatest hits onstage or at other special events. Keyshia said it was “just the releasing music side of things” that she was leaving to other artists.

Many fans remember when Keyshia Cole grabbed the spotlight in the music industry. The year was 2005 and the them-freshman recording artist released her debut album, The Way It Is. Cole released her single ‘Love’ in 2006, which reached 19 on the Hot 100 list. ‘Love’ was ultimately certified platinum by the RIAA and is often regarded as the recording artist’s breakthrough single.

DJ is Keyshia Cole’s only son with Danil Gibson Sr. Tobias is the recording artist’s son with Niko Khale. Keyshia plans to release Album 8 in the coming months.
