Big Boi, real name Antwan Andre Patton, is a grandpa! The rapper’s son, Bamboo Patton, welcomed a son, Antwan Younes Patton III, a few days ago.
Big Boi took to Instagram to celebrate the arrival of his grandson. “Twan 1 ..2..3 @bamboopatton aka ‘The Swaddle King,'” the rapper captioned underneath his Instagram series of pictures and video clips. Many commented on the legacy of Big Boi’s dynasty living on through the celebrity’s son and grandson.
“‘Son on the way by the name of Bamboo,'” tWitch wrote in reference to Big Boi preparing for the birth of Bamboo years ago. “Now he is continuing the kingdom,” the celebrity said. “Congrats and many blessings,” tWitch shared. “I love the legacy,” another fan shared.
Bamboo expressed appreciation to his son’s mother for birthing their son. “Thank you is an understatement,” the new father wrote online. “First and foremost, [thank you] for being a home, a safe haven for new life – our baby boy throughout the duration of a 9 month period. Second, [thank you] for really, really pushing me to limits I didn’t know I had in order to truly set me on the path of becoming who I always desired to be.”
Big Boi’s son went on to say, “[Thank you] for showing me that if you can make such a difficult yet beautiful process in childbirth look so elegant and graceful yet excruciating at times, that I can conquer anything in this world through the Lord who strengthens me in the form of peace, love, forgiveness, and patience while leaving behind pride, ego, and anger.”
“Here’s to new beginnings with the female version of me,” Bamboo shared. “Welcome Antwan Younés Patton III to this human experience on Earth. The world is yours king, and you got a village full of love to prove it to you”
