Cardi B does not have a babysitter for her daughter, Kulture Cephus. The ‘Up’ singer recently told the press that she sent her daughter to stay with family in New York to steer clear of hiring outside help to assist with daily care.
“These past months … like, the music video for the song (‘Up’), I was doing rehearsals,” Cardi shared. “I was doing Zoom, every meeting, because these music videos, I take that sh– to f—ing heart,” the celebrity mom added. Like, it has to be perfect. It’s got to be amazing.”
Cardi B thoroughly enjoys the company of her daughter both at home and in the studio. The celebrity mom, however, wanted her focus to be singular when making the music video for her new song.
“I sent my daughter to New York for two weeks, and I was just to the point that I was just crying. I’m like, ‘I’ve got to get my kid,'” Cardi revealed. “It’s really complicated,” the recording artist continued. “I don’t have a babysitter, and I don’t want to be flying out my mom, because of COVID.”
Cardi B quickly corrected spectators a few months ago after social media assumed she had a full-time staffing team to help her care for her daughter. The celebrity mom was quick to set the record straight.
“When I was pregnant, I was just like, ‘You know, I’m just going to get a babysitter, and she’s going to go on the road everywhere with me,'” Cardi said of her initial feelings about hiring help. “And then once we had a baby, it’s like your mindset changed,” the celebrity shared.
“It’s like, ‘I don’t want to have a babysitter. I’m scared. I don’t want nobody taking my kid nowhere. I don’t want nobody touching my kid.’ Like, I can’t trust people.”
Kulture Cephus is Cardi B’s only child with her husband, Offset. She celebrates her third birthday in July.
