"I'm A Very Sensual Person But Not Around My Child"

In the clip, Cardi gears up to dance to her hit song. Kulture enters the room just as her mom gets ready to mouth the words of her single. Cardi immediately turns off ‘WAP’ upon seeing her daughter in the room.

Some thought Cardi B’s reaction to Kulture possibly hearing ‘WAP’ was hilarious. Others, however, took the moment as an opportunity to criticize the recording artist for releasing such a sensual song.

“So ya daughter can’t listen to it but everybody else’s daughter can,” one critic asked by way of a tweet. “AW OKAY,” the troll continued. “Exactly what I been saying you have an agenda to push with that trash a** label you’re with. DISGUSTING.”

Cardi B addressed the criticism with a tweet of her own. “Ya needs to stop with this already,” the recording artist exclaimed. “I’m not Jojo Siwa,” Cardi continued. “I don’t make music for kids. I make music for adults. Parents are responsible on (sic) what their children listen to or see. I’m a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be.”

This is not the first time Cardi B has endured criticism surrounding ‘WAP.’ Several conservatives sought to shame Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion after listening to the single last year. One lawmaker even claimed to have accidentally stumbled upon the ‘WAP’ music video but, nevertheless, scrutinized Cardi for releasing the song.
