Congratulations to Riverdale’s Vanessa Morgan who welcomed a baby boy with her estranged husband, Michael Kopech, this past weekend. An insider shared the exciting news of Vanessa and Michael’s son arriving with the press.
“Vanessa had the baby, and Michael is with her as well,” the family friend shared exclusively with E! News. “They’re both thrilled,” the inside source revealed.
Michael Kopech and Vanessa Morgan shared their plans to divorce last year. According to Chicago Tribune,
“Kopech filed on June 19 in Morris County in northeast Texas, where he grew up, according to court information. The case was sealed Monday after a Tribune inquiry. No hearing date is scheduled.”
Kopech and Morgan were married for six months before he pursued marriage dissolution. Some may remember the MLB player proposing to his then-girlfriend in 2019. Michael presented beautiful scenery in front of a waterfall in Mooney Falls, Arizona.

“So I’ll start with the obvious: I love you,” Michal wrote to Vanessa online. “I love you intensely, passionately, and also at times, recklessly. I make decisions on the spur of the moment,” the star athlete said. “You stayed by my side for these seemingly random changes of my life,” Kopech told Morgan. “You stayed when often times I didn’t deserve it. You’ve loved me for ME from day one. Completely unselfishly. You’re undeniably the spark that reignited my fire.”

Vanessa shared the exciting news of her expectancy last July in the midst of her separation from Michael. “I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January,” Morgan shared. “This little guy has already brought me so much happiness and a feeling of such a greater purpose. I cannot wait to meet you.”
Michael Kopech and Vanessa Morgan’s son is their only child together. The details surrounding the former couple’s impending divorce are still in the process.
