Toya Bush Harris and her husband, Eugene Harris, went all out for their son Ashton’s eleventh birthday. The Married To Medicine stars shared pictures from their tween’s birthday celebration at home with their social media fans.
“Today I am thankful for 11 yrs. of the Blessing God trusted me with,” Toya told her Instagram followers. “Ashton has been nothing But Amazing,” the celebrity mom doted. “He is loving, smart, honest, brave a leader … the head and not the tail! I am a Grateful Mom! #blessedmom #prayingmom.”
Toya Bush Harris used the services of Card My Yard to create an atmosphere in the family’s front yard that made her son smile. “@Cardmyyard Thank you,” the Married To Medicine star wrote to the yard greeting company. “In today’s world, it’s more important to be kind and spread joy more than ever before! #cardmyyard has helped me spread positivity throughout my community and put a smile on my Son’s Face!”
Ashton and his brother, Avery, made waves across the Internet last year after calling remote learning “trash.” The youngsters were responding to the criticism their mom received after she sent them back to in-person classroom sessions as coronavirus cases rose in Georgia.
“I just wanted to go to school because homeschooling is trash,” Ashton said during a social media session with his mom and brother. “In my words. Just in my words,” the tween added. “Homeschooling is trash. I wanted to go to school so I could see my friends.”
Many supporters of Toya Bush Harris and her husband’s decision to return their kids to a traditional school learning environment reminded critics that the Married To Medicine couple was entitled to rear their children as they saw fit. Still, there were some who scrutinized the Harris’ for placing their kids in what they believed to be a perilous environment.
Ashton is Toya Bush Harris and Eugene Harris’s oldest child.
