Vanessa Bryant and the kids went skiing with Pau Gasol and his family. Mrs. Bryant shared candids and video clips from the trip on Instagram.
“It takes a village,” Vanessa told her social media followers. “@celi4ten thx for helping me with Koko so I could ski and go tubing with BB and Nani. I love you bestie.”
Pau Gasol viewed Kobe Bryant as a brother during the NBA star’s lifetime. “He’s the closest thing to a big brother that I’ve had in my life,” Gasol recently said of Bryant during a recent interview. “I’m more naturally inclined to show my softness from a personal level and an emotional level, and I think that’s something maybe I influenced him to in a way,” Pau continued. “I’d say, ‘It’s OK to be normal or act kind and vulnerable or soft at times. We don’t have to be so hard all the time and be on edge all the time.'”
It was just a few days ago that the Bryant family remembered Kobe and Gianna Bryant on the anniversary of their tragic deaths. Vanessa shared an Instagram post that showcased a letter Gianna’s best friend gave her in honor of her daughter’s memory.
“Today I received this sweet letter from one of Gianna’s best friends, Aubrey,” Vanessa told her social media fans. “I love you Aubz (as my Gigi would call you),” Mrs. Bryant wrote to Gianna’s best friend. “Thank you so much for beautifully sharing some of your memories of my Gigi with me and allowing me to share them here on my IG.”
Kobe and Gianna Bryant were killed in a helicopter accident on January 26, 2020. The celebrity father and his daughter were headed to a basketball game with six other passengers at the time. Everyone on the flight, including the pilot, passed away after the helicopter collided with a hilltop in Calabassas.
Vanessa Bryant has worked to keep the memory of her husband and daughter alive. Not only has the celebrity mom shared posts on Instagram that reflect on the lives of Kobe and Gianna, but Mrs. Bryant has also carried on Kobe’s EPOCA children’s book series. In fact, the latest book in the series, The River Of Sand, was released last month under the leadership of Vanessa.
Mrs. Bryant shared a holiday post with her social media supporters that reflected on Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s memory. Vanessa uploaded a series that featured her with her daughters for Christmas 2020 in the first slide. The second picture was a throwback candid to Christmas 2019 that featured all members of the Bryant family.
