Beyoncé and Jayz’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, is already a skilled make-up artist at just nine years old! On Thursday, Blue’s grandma, Tina Lawson, took to Instagram to share that her precocious granddaughter had ‘beat her face.’
She wrote, “My talented granddaughter Blue made up my face today . She is only 9 years old can you imagine her at 15 doing my makeup? She Beat My Face. Gonna save me a lot of money on make up artist fees.”
This is not the first time that Blue has done her grandmother’s makeup. On Halloween of last year, Tina took to Instagram to post Blue’s makeup skills. “My Blue is a great make up artist ! She made me into Grandma Skeleton !!” the proud grandmother captioned the post. Blue gave Lawson dark, eerie circles around her eyes, shaded her nose, and gave her slashes across her mouth. She did a pretty good job!”
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2019, Tina told the news outlet that her granddaughter is “quite the makeup artist” adding that her specialty is eye makeup. “She puts stones and does all this fancy stuff. She can do a perfect cat-eye. She’s a little artist.”
“I’ve bought Blue so many makeup kits, much to her dad’s dismay!” Knowles Lawson also admitted during the sit-down interview, laughing that fathers like JAY-Z “don’t like that.” “But it’s just for playtime. We have fun!”
Mrs. Lawson also says that Blue is not allowed to wear makeup herself until she is a teenager. “I think about 13. It’s when I started letting my girls wear makeup,” she said. “A little lip gloss, maybe a little blush and I always believed in mascara, that’s so fun. But not any base and all that stuff, that’s a little much.”
