Wendy Williams is withholding nothing about her marriage to Kevin Hunter. The television personality called into SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show earlier this week to talk about her upcoming Lifetime documentary Wendy Williams: What A Mess where she delved into her marriage and very public divorce.
“I’ve known about her almost since the beginning,” Wendy said of the mistress with whom Kevin Hunter had a baby in 2019. “I’ve known that Kevin is a serial cheat,” Williams continued. “The first time I found out was while was pregnant with our son on bedrest.”
According to Wendy, Kevin had relations with multiple women during their marriage that last two decades. “This girl wasn’t the only one,” Williams said of the most recent affair. “She just happens to be the one who kept his baby. Yeah. I said kept his baby because from what Mr. Hunter told me on the night that he, that she was with this new baby journey and her family and whatnot down South, he was with me begging forgiveness telling me to take a moment and, and he would see it. And we were meant to be together. We were meant to be together for 25 years. I was plotting.”
Wendy Williams told listeners of The Jess Cagle Show that her ex-husband became “more of a jerk” with every bit of success that came the family’s way. She also sacrificed a few things while planning to end the marriage.
“I plotted to divorce Kevin and I sacrificed a lot of myself to come out successful on the other side,” Williams revealed. “And it all worked,” the television personality added. “And when I say I sacrifice of myself, Kevin’s an only child.”
“You know, oftentimes when children have other children, siblings in the household, they can be their own click while mom and dad are fighting, or at least they have each other through a divorce process. Our son has nobody, to add to that we were suburban people living in Livingston, New Jersey and living a rock and roll lifestyle.”
Kevin Hunter Jr. is 20-years-old and preparing to close out his undergraduate years in Miami. You can catch Wendy Williams’ story when Wendy Williams: What A Mess airs on Lifetime this Sunday (Jan. 31) at 8/7c.
