The Kid of the Year honor is a multiplatform initiative where parents, teachers, friends, and more nominated a kid, aged 8-16. During tonight’s program, five finalist honorees will be featured in a TV special, that will be hosted by The Daily Show‘s funny man, Trevor Noah.

“In the unprecedented times that we are living in today, it has been inspiring to see humanity come together to help one another, and I’ve been especially drawn to the stories of kids using their creativity to bring resources to their communities,” Noah said in an interview. “After all, the person who’s going to bring us a better tomorrow is a kid who’s out there doing it today!”

Additionally, the special will feature stars from entertainment, sports and pop culture, as well as musical performance. Three phenomenal young people in their own rights, Dylan Glimer, from Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan, Little Chef Ivy, from MasterChef Junior, and TIME for Kids Kid reporter, Tiana Sirmans, all sat on the Kid Committee ahead of the premiere. The amazing threesome took time out of their busy schedules to speak exclusively with BCKOnline and give their advice for the big winner of tonight’s event.

Each of the three young people were asked: If you had to give one piece of advice to TIME’s Kid of the Year, what would it be? And here are their answers:

Dylan Glimer: My advice to the kid of the year would be you have already been blessed so take what God has given to you and run with it.

Little Chef Ivy: Keep adding towards your goals, your journey is much longer than you think.

Tiana Sirmans: Have fun, enjoy the experience and try to cover stories you may not normally be interested in because you’ll learn something new and come up with the best questions for your interview and story.

Each finalist will receive funds to further their respective causes and have the chance to be a Kid Reporter for TIME for Kids with exclusive access to a Nickelodeon event. Make sure to tune-in tonight. We have a feeling that this is going to be one amazing event!
