Erykah Badu’s daughter, Puma, is at it again! The 16-year-old was recently recorded while singing ‘Best Part’ by Daniel Ceasar.
Puma put her soul into the performance. The teen even closed her eyes to belt out the part of the song that resonates with most listeners during the song. “Beautiful voice,” one fan said after hearing Puma’s musical selection. “Go girl,” another social media follower declared.
This is not the first time Puma has shown off her vocal skills. Erykah Badu’s daughter recently joined her mom on Good Morning Texas where the two sang one of Erykah’s hits. Badu let her daughter take center stage during the selection, which led to dozens celebrating Puma for her talent.

It is no surprise that Puma is musically inclined. The teen is, after all, the daughter of two highly regarded musicians who, by the terms of many, have carved their own paths in the music industry. Erykah Badu spoke with The Guardian about her life as a sometimes controversial recording artist during a 2018 interview.
“I don’t regret anything,” Badu told the media outlet. “I don’t like to make people feel uncomfortable or bad. But people are very sensitive in this climate,” she said. “I would never take back a message of love,” Erykah clarified. “I’m sorry that it was misunderstood. But not sorry for saying it because it was from a place of love. And sometimes that happens.”
