CIARA JOINS WEIGHT WATCHERS IN QUEST TO LOSE HER POST-BABY WEIGHT

Ciara made it her goal to lose the 48 pounds she gained during her pregnancy with her third baby Win Harrison Wilson. To that end, the singer recently partnered with Weight Watchers (WW) as an Ambassador.

WW announced their partnership with Ciara on their website, which includes pictures of her with her kids: 6-year-old Future Zahir (her son with rapper Future) and Sienna Princess Wilson, who she shares with her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. WW’s announcement reads; “Meet our newest Ambassador. Welcome Ciara to the WW family,” with a quote from Ciara: “I came to WW for a more realistic, balanced program for my life and want to inspire others to do the same.”

“I want to enjoy life and enjoy food, and WW gives me that option,” says Ciara. “Here’s my why: I’ve always appreciated being in shape—I’m ready to get back at it and lose the baby weight. But I’m also very aware that my life is more eventful with three kids, so a restrictive lifestyle doesn’t work for me anymore.”

“I’m learning how to make the best choices for a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. I used to be an extremist when it came to losing weight. WW gave me a creative way to build a healthier lifestyle,” she continued. “The WW app is SO fun! Through tracking, I can educate myself on what I’m eating and how it affects my body. I want to set a positive example for family, and to me that’s eating what I love while making healthier choices.”

Ciara has been training with a WW coach and using the program’s app, and says that though she is just starting out, working with WW has been “really fun.” Ciara says that WW has helped improve her eating habits, which are especially important for post-pregnancy, and it has helped her plan out her fitness journey for the long term.

“For me, it gives me something to look forward to and makes it fun. I tried all kinds of things, sun up to sundown, and yes some of those things have worked, but they haven’t been realistic for the long term at all,” says Ciara. “What I really love about this is I’m having fun while also learning how to develop really good eating habits. One of the ultimate goals is to have a good wellness lifestyle that’s going to carry me through life.”
