For some busy working mothers, keeping fit can be a challenge, but it’s a challenge that actress Tamera Mowry rose to. Tamera Mowry and her husband Adam Housley have two kids together: 7-year-old Aden John Tanner and 5-year-old Ariah Talea Housley. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tamera has “had to find the time” to workout consistently as a busy mom, but she kept at it with the help of her trainer Jam Malibu and is happy to show off the results on Instagram. She posted a couple of post-workout photos and her caption read:
“I have worked really hard to get my body to a place of #health and #peace since having my children. I’m usually the type of woman who wants to make lemonade when handed lemons,” wrote Tamera. “Once the pandemic was upon us, I promised myself I would emerge stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually. My #workouts were a place to center myself and finally give myself the self-care I needed. I didn’t want a quick fix or fad diets.”
“Those weren’t sustainable for me and don’t last. I wanted to do it the OG way — Burning more calories than consumed through exercise. As a working mother, I had to find the time. I’ve learned that it’s not about how fast you go, but instead about staying consistent and then seeing yourself gain #strength little by little,” she continued. “Along the way, I also learned the importance of form: It’s better to do 10 right than 20 exercise moves incorrectly. But most importantly, don’t compare yourself to anyone. Your journey is yours! Thanks @jammalibu for pushing me every damn morning. I love you. #workout #progress.”
Tamera Mowry balances her busy work schedule with her workouts and caring for her children, who have been learning remotely due to the pandemic. “They are not going back to the physical classroom but will be doing virtual learning. It’s going to be interesting, to say the least,” said Tamera. “Ariah will be starting kindergarten and Aden second grade. I want to make it fun for them. So wish me luck and all the other parents out there. I know it’ll be a challenge, but I love a challenge.”
