Country singer Mickey Guyton and her husband Grant Savoy are expecting their first child together. Mickey Guyton took to Instagram to share the wonderful news. She posted a couple of pictures of her baby’s ultrasound photos and in the caption, she wrote about how thankful and excited she was to have a baby.
“Even in times of darkness, like the ones we as a society find ourselves in today, God always finds a way to shine His light on the beautiful side of life, like the miracle of life itself. I’m so excited to announce that I’m having a baby!” wrote Mickey. “My life completely changed in an instant. Literally nothing else matters. I’m so excited and terrified all at the same time. I have no idea what I am doing but am so thankful that God chose me to be this baby’s mom 😭👶🏽🤰🏾.”
On her Instagram Story, Mickey Guyton also posted a selfie showing off her growing baby bump, complete with a cute cartoon of a baby inside. She captioned that photo: “God sent me an angel in these dark times and I am beyond grateful and terrified and all of the things.”
After seven years together, Mickey Guyton and Grant Savoy married in 2017. Three years later, the happy couple is excited to eventually welcome their new baby into the world. In a recent interview with ET, Mickey discussed how she and her husband have supported each other during the coronavirus quarantine and how songwriting has improved her mental health.
“I have a great home base. My husband is very, very supportive of me,” said Mickey. “Songwriting has helped my mental health. Writing about what’s going on in the world today, it has been really like therapy for me. It really helps me just get it out and then I can move forward.”
