Riley Burruss may have spent her eighteenth birthday in her dorm room at New York University (NYU), but that doesn’t mean the college freshman was alone. Kandi Burruss was certain to send her love in the form of balloons and flowers.
“Guys, I’m spending my eighteenth birthday in quarantine,” Riley told social media fans last week in a brief video message. “But my mom sent me some cute flowers and balloons,” the 18-year-old said. “Thanks, mom,” Riley exclaimed.
New York University has firm rules implemented in hopes of slowing the spread of COVID-19 in New York City and throughout the United States. School administrators almost have a completely closed campus with incoming students forced to quarantine in their dorm rooms upon their arrival.
Still, even the challenges that come with adjusting to a new normal, Riley Burruss and the entire Burruss-Tucker clan are ecstatic. “My baby girl is 18,” Kandi Burruss exclaimed online in celebration of her daughter’s milestone birthday last week. “@rileyburruss you are my firstborn, my bestie, my big baby Intelligent, beautiful, stubborn, determined, and more,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star doted.
“I’m proud of the young woman you’ve become,” Kandu wrote to her daughter. “You’re an adult now but you’re still my baby and I will always be here for you no matter what! You know I’ll do whatever it takes just to make you smile. I love you!”
