Kandi Burruss is missing her oldest daughter, Riley Burruss, already. The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star shared a throwback candid of her daughter on Friday (August 21) in celebration of Riley’s eighteenth birthday and as a way of coping with her daughter being quarantined in her dorm room at New York University (NYU).
“I can’t believe Riley will be 18 tomorrow,” Kandi exclaimed in the caption section of the post, which showed a younger Riley with her mom and grandmother, Mama Joyce. “She’s quarantined in her dorm alone for the next two weeks,” Kandi said of her daughter’s college experience thus far. “That sucks to be alone on your 18th b-day,” the RHOA star added. “I miss my baby already.”
Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, gave Riley Burruss a send-off to remember last week. The celebrity parents had the best sweet treats and all of the decorations one could imagine that showed off Riley’s school spirit. Even with the festivities starting and ending on high notes, Kandi expressed a bit of somberness over her daughter’s departure. “My baby ain’t a baby no more” Burruss told her social media fans. “[She’s] headed to school,” the RHOA star exclaimed.
Riley has been in the clouds since reading her acceptance letter from New York University a few months back. The coronavirus pandemic has indeed changed the way Kandi’s daughter will experience college. Riley is, nevertheless, ready to pursue her dreams in The Big Apple.
