Tracy Morgan’s estranged wife, Megan Wollover, wants sole custody of their daughter, Maven Sonae Morgan. Megan made the request in the latest court documents surrounding her impending divorce.
According to Page Six,
“Wollover wants Morgan to continue to support Maven, as well as pay her legal fees. She cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split.”
News of Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover’s separation spread last month after she filed for marriage dissolution. A representative confirmed the impending divorce while also releasing a statement on Megan’s behalf.
“We can confirm that Megan filed for divorce yesterday,” the spokesperson shared. “This is a private matter for the family,” the representative continued. “Megan’s primary focus remains the best interest of the parties’ daughter. She asks that the family’s privacy be respected during this difficult time.”
Tracy also made a statement on the matter. “Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce,” the veteran comedian told PEOPLE exclusively. “This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy,” Tracy said.
Megan Wollover and Tracy Morgan wed in 2015, which was several months after the comedian recovered from a near-fatal accident. Tracy celebrated his ability to walk down the aisle without assistance given the fact that he was once unable to get around the house and outdoors without a wheelchair.
Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover only have one child together. The comedian has asked for joint custody of their daughter along with shared residential custody. Tracy Morgan has four kids in all. Stay tuned for more celebrity family news!
