Monyetta Shaw is thoroughly enjoying co-parenting with Ne-Yo. The children’s author tells Us Weekly’s podcast, “Hot Hollywood,” exclusively about how she and Ne-Yo are working together in pure harmony during the coronavirus pandemic.
“He’s home more than he’s ever been and gets them every weekend after I help with their virtual learning during the kids’ school week,” Monyetta reveals. “The kids absolutely love it,” the celebrity mom continued. “It’s been a blessing in disguise during these trying times.”
The coronavirus pandemic may have slowed a few things down. The lockdown did not, however, impede Monyetta Shaw’s fiance, Heath, from popping the question. The couple officially became engaged for marriage a few weeks ago.
“Honestly, he was such a good dude and a good person,” Monyetta tells Us. “I knew, I want to say almost immediately [that he was The One],” the celebrity mom shares. “He’s the CEO of his companies, and even still he makes time for his kids.”
“I would literally see him rearrange his schedules, have huge deals on the table, and he’s like, ‘No, I have to go see my daughter, and I have to make sure this is done.’ That honestly, was one of the main things that made me be like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ Just the love that he had for his children, first and foremost.”
Speaking of children, Shaw tells Us that she and her fiance are considering family expansion. “It comes up in our conversations a lot,” the children’s author reveals. “Because he has two girls and he wants a boy. And I’m like, ‘OK. Yeah. So now it’s getting real.'”
Monyetta Shaw and Ne-Yo have two kids, Madilyn and Mason, together. Ne-Yo has four kids in all. Stay tuned for more celebrity kids’ news!
