Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many summer camps around the country have been canceled, but actor Taye Diggs, his son Walker, and Quaker Chewy are teaming up to bring the camp experience home with the Camp Chewy program.
Families can visit the Camp Chewy website until July 21 and share their favorite camp activities for a chance to win a $250 gift card and Camp Chewy gear to encourage families to camp at home over the summer. Actor and proud father Taye Diggs joined the Camp Chewy campaign to share how he is creating his own Camp Chewy for his 10-year-old son Walker, and he provides tips on how to create a summer full of family fun while at home.
“I loved going to camp growing up and my son looks forward to going to camp every year, but with his camp being canceled this year I’m looking forward to more playtime with him in our backyard. I’m proud to partner with Quaker Chewy to help encourage families across the country to play on at home this summer,” said Diggs. “This program will help recreate the summer camp experience right at home. All people have to do is go to a website, nocampnoproblem.com. You can sign up for a sweepstakes to win up to $250 worth of really cool prizes… that encourage playtime with the family at home.”
To provide inspiration and help families enjoy their own Camp Chewy, Quaker Chewy shares fun camp-themed activities, games, and crafts on the Camp Chewy website. In a statement, Kristin Kroepfl, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Quaker Foods North America, said: “Parents are adding ‘camp counselor’ to their ever-growing list of titles as they try to make this summer as fun as possible for their kids. At Quaker Chewy, we believe that nothing should stop kids from playing, and through the Camp Chewy program we’re proud to help support families during playtime – and snack time.”
