Evie Murphy, the granddaughter of legendary comedian Eddie Murphy and his ex Nicole Murphy, recently celebrated her very first birthday.
Eddie and Nicole Murphy’s son, Miles Murphy, and his girlfriend Carly Olivia had Evie together. Carly took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s special day. She posted a heartfelt slideshow of little Evie and in the caption, Carly wrote an emotional message about how proud she is to be Evie’s mother.
“Evie Murphy turns 1❤️,” wrote Carly. “Evie Isla Murphy… I don’t even know where to begin. I always knew I wanted to be a mommy, and one day God blessed me with you. YOU chose me to be your mommy. I will never be able to describe the feeling I had when I looked at your perfect face the first time I met you.”
“Your daddy and I love you SO incredibly much, you bring us so much joy and so much happiness to absolutely every single person in your life,” continued Carly. “This first year went by fast and I know the years to come will be even quicker. Carly Olivia wasn’t alone in wishing Evie a happy first birthday. Nicole Murphy also celebrated her grandaughter’s birthday on Instagram. She posted a picture of Evie and in the caption, she wrote: “I can’t believe you are 1 year old today. Happy Birthday my beautiful perfect angel 😍😍😍😍 #Evie #grandbaby #shesperfect.”

Bria Murphy, Miles’ older sister, also paid tribute to Evie on her first birthday. She posted a video of Evie saying “wow” to her birthday cake, which was decorated with flowers and palm trees. She captioned the post: “’Wowwww’ 💕. Happy 1st Birthday to the happiest baby in the world, my gorgeous, perfect niece!!! You’re a pure light in this world. I feel so blessed to be your auntie. Evie Murphy is Eddie Murphy’s first grandchild, and he had five children with Nicole Murphy. Altogether, Eddie Murphy has 10 kids with five different women. In fact, Eddie’s youngest child, Max Murphy, is only five months older than Evie, which the Murphy family finds quite hilarious. “My son is my granddaughter’s uncle,” says Eddie.
