It is said that fathers and daughters have a special bond, and singer John Legend, a proud father to his daughter Luna, would certainly agree. In a recent interview with Frank Ski of V-103, Legend spoke about how he and his wife Chrissy Teigen parent their children: 4-year-old Luna and 2-year-old Miles Stephens; saying that he and Luna are “best friends.”
“My daughter is so wonderful; I have so much fun hanging out with her. She’s our firstborn, and my family’s full of boys too — there’s three boys and one girl in my immediate family — and then a lot of my uncles and aunts have mostly boys too, so it’s a boy-heavy family,” said Legend. “So we weren’t used to having a lot of young girls in the family, but my daughter is so funny and smart and she’s just got good verbal skills — she’s just fun to be around. And I spend a lot of time with her and I enjoy her so much, so if you’re lucky, your daughter will be like mine and you guys will be best friends,” Legend told Ski, who has a young daughter of his own.
For Father’s Day (June 21), John Legend posted a short Instagram video, where he wished dads everywhere a Happy Father’s Day and read a heartfelt letter to his children, calling them his “bright lights.” In the caption, Legend encouraged fathers to read letters to their children.
“Even though the world may sometimes look dark, Luna and Miles are my constant shining lights. Being a father has changed me forever, and that is the greatest gift,” wrote Legend. “To all my dads out there, I want to hear what you’ve got to say to your babies. Join me and @PampersUS and #ShareTheLove this Father’s Day by sharing your own letter to your little one.”
Chrissy Teigen also took to Instagram to honor her husband. She posted a few sweet pictures of John Legend with his kids and captioned the post: “I could have never imagined a better daddy for my babies. You were made to do many things in life but you were absolutely made to be a dad. We love you we love you!!”
