Chance the Rapper’s wife, Kirsten Corley-Bennett, is hoping for a son. Kirsten and Chance have two adorable daughters, 4-year-old Kensli and 9-month-old Marli Bennett, and Kirsten is praying to give them a little brother.
On Father’s Day (June 21), Kirsten Corley-Bennett celebrated her husband on Instagram. She posted pictures of Chance with his daughters and in the caption, she wished Chance a Happy Father’s Day and hilariously expressed her desire to have a son. “Happy Father’s Day baby. Chance the Rapper also took to Instagram to celebrate Father’s Day. In one post, Chance posted throwback photos of himself, his brother Taylor Bennett and their father Ken Bennett. In the caption, Chance honored his father, thanking him for all the lessons he taught him.
“I get my pride in my parenting from my dad. He told me since I was little, a man’s legacy is not measured by what he gained in the world but what he left for his kids. He never directly taught me about how to save/make money or how to navigate the waters of “success,” but everything he did teach me kinda made that stuff a nonissue,” wrote Chance.
“He taught me how to treat people with respect, to speak up for people who can’t speak for themselves, to clean my neighbor’s house as if it’s my own, to hold the door for women, to stand on my word cause it’s all I got, to memorize my prayers, to treat EVERY JOB like it’s my life’s work (especially sweeping/mopping the floors), and above all else to BEAT A BULLY’S ASS,” he continued. “So I appreciate my dad especially on this Father’s Day as it’s both me and @taylorbennett first Father’s Day as fathers of TWO. In another post, Chance the Rapper posted a heartwarming slideshow of his family set to a slowed-down version of “Take On Me” by a-ha. In the caption, Chance wrote: “Oooh I love my liiife. I’m so blessed to be a part of this family and apart of this journey. I thank God for Mom and Dad and Taylor and Kayla and my wife and especially Kensli, Marli, Charlie and now little Blake Jonathan Bennett!!”
