Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou celebrated their son Kenzo Hounsou’s eleventh birthday this past weekend. Djimon took to Instagram to commemorate his son’s special day.
“Happy blissful birthday celebration to my son,” Djimon wrote to Kenzo. More than 12,000 of the actor’s social media followers responded with positive affirmations.
It has reportedly been a few months since Djimon Hounsou has seen his son. The actor accused his son’s mother of preventing father-son time last year. “It would have been nice to see my son for Father’s Day,” Hounsou said during an impromptu interview with TMZ last June. “It would have also been nice to have seen him so I could at least talk to him,” the celebrity father added.
Djimon told the press that he had not seen his son in months at the time of the interview. Kimora Lee Simmons’ camp, however, refuted such a claim. In fact, a representative from Kimora’s team told the press that the fashion mogul has an “open door” policy when it comes to the fathers of her children. Djimon, according to the representatives, “hardly ever takes her up on it.”
Kenzo is Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou’s only child together. Kimora has five kids in all. Stay tuned for more celebrity family news!
