Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore and her estranged husband Marc Daly already have a baby together, but Moore doesn’t want to stop at one.
Kenya Moore and Marc Daly welcomed their 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn Daly in 2018, and despite their estranged relationship, Moore and Daly have been discussing the possibility of adding a second child to their family. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Moore discussed her feelings about giving Brooklyn a younger sibling.
“It’s a conversation that we’re still trying to figure out, honestly,” said Moore. “But I really feel, more and more, that I do [want to]. Time is ticking, and I want them to be close in age and… it’s a sensitive subject.”
Kenya Moore also mentioned that Daly has been hesitant about having another baby with her, since he also has children from a different relationship. “It’s scary for him too… because Brooklyn’s not his only child, so for him, it’s like, ‘Well, how many children will I have?’ So I think that is probably the biggest issue for him,” explained Moore. “But I don’t think he thinks he can love anyone more than he loves Brooklyn and his other children right now, so… I don’t know. They have a really strong, strong bond. And I think his fear is that, ‘What if the child comes and I don’t have this kind of bond with him because you didn’t carry her or we’re still figuring out our relationship?’”
Kenya Moore added that since she had complications during her pregnancy with Brooklyn, she was “seriously considering” having another baby through surrogacy and is waiting for test results on her conception options. Although Moore filed for divorce in 2019 after two years of marriage to Daly, she hopes for them to reconcile. Moore and Daly currently take counseling via Zoom and communicate via FaceTime, but Moore hopes to visit Daly once the coronavirus travel restrictions are lifted, saying that she and Brooklyn “really miss him.”
“I want to fly to New York to see Marc. And for Brooklyn to see Marc,” says Moore. “We miss him. We really miss him. It breaks my heart when Brooklyn goes around the house and says, ‘Daddy, Daddy,’ picks up his pictures and says ‘Daddy’ and stuff. It’s just heartbreaking.”
