CRAIG MELVIN’S SON GIVES ‘TODAY’ VIEWERS SOME OF HIS BEST JOKES

"Hissstory"

Craig Melvin spread a bit of humor to TODAY viewers on Wednesday (April 1). The celebrity father brought his son, Delano Melvin, on the show to tell Al Roker a few jokes in honor of April Fool’s Day.

Delano wasted no time with getting into his first joke. “Why was six afraid of seven,” the youngster asked. Delano waited for his father to repeat the first part of the joke before saying, “Because seven ain’t nine.” It took Al Roker a few seconds to get the joke, which played on the number sequence of “seven, eight, nine.” The TODAY anchor then told the youngster that he may need to borrow the joke.

Craig Melvin’s son presented another joke. “What was the snake’s favorite subject in school,” Delano asked. The youngster’s answer? “Hissstory.”

Delano gets much of his ability to inspire others during challenging times from his father. It was just a few days ago that Craig Melvin asked Bishop T.D. Jakes to say a prayer for those suffering from the coronavirus pandemic. Craig gave Jakes 30 seconds to pray, which was all that MSNBC viewers needed to feel encouraged.

“Thank you for this Craig and Bishop,” one fan wrote after watching the segment. “Stay well and be healthy.” Another of Craig Melvin’s Instagram fans wrote, “Thank you for doing this!”

Craig Melvin and his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, have two kids together. Stay tuned for more celebrity father news!
