Jhene Aiko reassures her daughter, Namiko Browner, that she will always be mommy’s little girl. The recording artist took to Instagram with a sweet message to her daughter, who celebrates her twelfth birthday this year, this past weekend.

“You will always be my baby,” Jhene told Namiko. The celebrity mom also shared a picture of herself while embracing her daughter. “Twins,” one fan said. “My angels,” another social media follower wrote.

Jhene Aiko is celebrating her latest album’s release. The recording artist began to aggressively spread the word about her new project, called Chilombo, a few weeks ago.

“In a sense, I am like a volcano, and this album is an eruption,” Jhene said during a recent interview with Billboard. “It starts with ‘Triggered,’ and there’s a lava flow with all these songs where it’s a free-flowing jam session,” the recording artist added. “And then it settled — and it became this beautiful land where there’s new life.”

Jhene Aiko and her daughter released a duo track called ‘Sing To Me’ in 2017. The song remains a hit and is especially keen for Mother’s Day. Jhene Aiko shared how her daughter inspired her to pursue independence as a young adult during a recent interview with CR Fashion Book.

“I never intended to have a baby so young,” Aiko shared. The recording artist gave birth to her daughter in 2008 at the age of 20. “As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I was overwhelmed with a new focus and drive,” Jhene said. “I knew I didn’t want a regular job. I wanted to provide a life for me and my daughter that was beyond myself.”
