K. Michelle and her boyfriend Kastan Sims are still planning to have babies by way of a surrogate. Kimberly recently took to Instagram to share an update about her IVF process, which has been challenging yet rewarding.

“Going through IVF in the midst of the coronavirus is probably one of the most stressful things I’ve had to deal with,” K. Michelle admitted on Wednesday (March 18). “This is my LAST cycle of IVF,” the recording artist revealed. “Me and Kastan keep producing boy embryos,” she added. “I desperately am praying for at least one little girl.”
She later shared that she underwent IVF surgery and that “everything went great. Now i can quarantine! We got eggs people! We will find out the embryos gender after this virus. God is good. Thanks to Instagram family for all those prayers. This one was rough. Happy.”

K. Michelle expressed her desire to have twin girls last year. The celebrity mom even hired a woman named Tannae who she met in IKEA to be her surrogate after seeing and interacting with the woman’s twin daughters. K. Michelle ultimately decided to move forward with someone else after Tannae attempted to negotiate a contract with Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood producers among other grievances.
“They use it as bargaining power against me, thinking, ‘We have your story you have to sign up,'” K. Michelle said of the experience during a recent interview. “Well, as long as ain’t no eggs in her, you ain’t never got my story,” the recording artist exclaimed. “You’ll never back me into a corner. But the fact that that was even tried for something so serious as a child’s life, you get what I’m saying? That’s really bad.”

Now, with the drama behind her, K. Michelle presses forward with the hope of family expansion in the near future. “I’m currently seeing Dr. Hernandez-Rey, who specializes in designer babies and can help pick the gender,” the celebrity mom told her Instagram fans on Wednesday. “At this point, I’m blessed either way,” K. Michelle said.
“Some women can’t have kids at all so I won’t complain,” she continued. “My uterus is also strong enough for me to carry but I’m still going to have a surrogate for my mental health. I’m finally going to get it done this year,” the recording artist declared.
