Mariah Carey and her daughter Monroe Cannon are the latest parent-child pair to do a challenge on the popular video-sharing app, Tik Tok. Monroe had a bit of help from her mom when it came to hitting the high note.
In actuality, Mariah was the one hitting that famous note that is unique to her music. Monroe had all the passion in the clip, which led some to believe that the youngster had mastered her mom’s out-of-this-world note. The truth about the moment was revealed when the camera moved outward to show Mariah singing while standing behind the door.

“Mommy,” Monroe said before walking off the scene. “What,” Mariah asked. “You said [to] hit the high note.”
“Queen of Tik Tok,” one Twitter fan shared after seeing Mariah sing with her daughter. Another social media follower wrote, “Queen … Daughter taking after her mother.” Agreed!
Mariah Carey is certainly giving her kids the exposure that leads to a powerful stage presence. The celebrity mom often brings her son and daughter onstage during her shows. Carey even featured her kids in the latest ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ music video this past holiday season.
